Beach wheelchairs
Beach wheelchair access is part of Surf Life Saving Tasmania’s broader commitment to making beaches safe, inclusive, and welcoming for all.
Beach wheelchairs are available at selected locations across the state to support individuals, families, and community groups to enjoy the beach environment safely and with greater independence.
-
Access is free of charge. Find where your nearest beach wheelchair is available below. You can also find beach wheelchairs at Sandy Bay - Long Beach (MLAK access) and the Surf Life Saving Tasmania State Office - Mornington.
-
Some locations are fitted with storage units that can be accessed using a Master Locksmith Access Key (MLAK). These wheelchairs are available on a first-come basis (booking not required).
