HLTAID011 Provide First Aid 

Surf Life Saving Tasmania delivers training and assessment under a third-party agreement with Surf Life Saving South Australia Inc (RTO Code: 40110)

This course equips participants with the skills and knowledge to manage emergency first aid situations and provide competent care until professional medical support arrives. It covers essential CPR techniques and prepares individuals to handle a variety of emergencies, including:

• Medical emergencies such as asthma, anaphylaxis, and heart conditions
• Trauma scenarios involving bleeding, fractures, sprains, and strains

Designed to meet both general workplace and community first aid requirements, the course aligns with national VET (Vocational Education and Training) guidelines and Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) standards. Additionally, we offer the flexibility to tailor the course to industry-specific needs, ensuring relevance to your work environment. Training can be conveniently conducted at your workplace for added efficiency.

Upon successful completion, participants will receive a nationally recognised statement of attainment for:

• HLTAID011 Provide first aid
• HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support
• HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

Course Delivery Options 

The First Aid course is delivered in two delivery formats, either with or without online learning:

• CLASSROOM LEARNING - theory and assessment in a full day face to face training and assessment session with no online components.
• E-LEARNING - self-paced’ theory online (approximately 4 hours), followed by a shorter face to face training and assessment session (4 hours).
