HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

Surf Life Saving Tasmania delivers training and assessment under a third-party agreement with Surf Life Saving South Australia Inc (RTO Code: 40110) 

This course delivers essential principles, knowledge, and skills to maintain breathing and circulation in emergency situations for adults, children, and infants. Participants will gain the confidence and expertise to provide basic life support to someone in cardiac arrest until professional help arrives.

The course aligns with the requirements of the national VET system and the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC). Upon completing this course, you will receive a nationally recognised statement of attainment for HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Course Delivery Options 

The CPR course is delivered in two delivery formats, either with or without online learning:

• CLASSROOM LEARNING - A 2.5 hour course has been designed for those who prefer to complete the CPR theory and assessment in a full face to face training and assessment session with no online components.
• E-LEARNING - ‘self-paced’ CPR theory online (approximately 30-45 minutes), followed by a shorter face to face assessment session (2 hours).
