The Pool Lifeguard course is nationally accredited training that provides students with the knowledge and skills to be employed as a Pool Lifeguard in a public swimming pool, holiday resort or recreation centre that has swimming facilities.
This course is recommended for any person wishing to achieve employment as a lifeguard in the aquatic industry and is a required qualification for staff in this position. It is also recommended for those involved in aquatic exercise, swim coaching or those who are responsible for the supervision and safety of people in and around swimming pools.

SLST operate through Recognised Training Organisation Surf Life Saving South Australia (RTOid: 40110) regulated by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).
SLST offer a range of course delivery options that aim to meet the learners needs and circumstances. The Pool Lifeguard course is currently only delivered face-to-face as a full course or update.
