Surf Life Saving Tasmania (SLST) in partnership with Variety – the Children’s Charity Tasmania is proud to announce that four areas across Tasmania this Summer will be running Starfish Nippers programs.

SLST’s programs, such as Starfish Nippers, aims to increase social inclusion and participation levels in beach activities for children (from ages 5) and young people with an intellectual impairment, physical disability and/ additional needs who find themselves capable but challenged by the requirements of mainstream junior Surf Life Saving programs. Recently, increased accessibility to purpose-built facilities and beach access wheelchairs has seen more Tasmanians participate in aquatic activities.

Starfish nippers will again this year be opened up to siblings of starfish nippers so the whole family can get involved!
