Search and Rescue Training Exercise

On Saturday (18th September 2021) Surf Life Saving Tasmania supported Tasmania Police in a Marine Search and Rescue Exercise in Fredrick Henry Bay and Norfolk Bay.

SLST had many assets involved including; 5 Inflatable Rescue Boats, 2 Rescue Water Craft (Jet Skis) and 2 Marine Rescue Vessels, with support from SurfCom, 3 State Duty Officers and 2 Regional Duty Officers. All worked alongside Tasmania Police and Ambulance Tasmania to complete a training exercise involving 9 patients in total.

Thanks to Bicheno, Kingston Beach, Carlton Park and Clifton Beach Surf Life Saving Clubs, RWC operators as well as Kingbrough and Dodges Ferry Marine Rescue Units members for assisting with the exercise.
