Lifeguard Bookings

Surf Life Saving Tasmania provides trained and experience Lifeguards to provide both Water Safety and First Aid Services, across the state.

Some events include:

• School / Outdoor Group Excursions
• Regattas
• Open Water Swims
• Triathlons

When?  SLST takes Lifeguard Bookings 12 months of the year. However, due to risk management, in relation to water temperature, the busiest period is between October through to the end of March. 

Ratios?   The number of people that a lifeguard can supervise in the water at one time is subject to the weather and seas conditions on the day.  As a rule of thumb, 1 lifeguard can supervise up to 15 swimmers at one time in calm conditions.   

Pricing

Fees are based on per hour, per lifeguard basis.

• 1 - 3 Hours   $150 per lifeguard (for up to 3hrs)
• 4 Hours +     $50.00 p/hr per lifeguard

Please note:
Mileage may be charged for jobs considered outside of the operational areas - e.g. 30mins beyond Hobart, Launceston, Devonport., or other Lifeguard locations. Surcharges apply for weekend and public holiday bookings.

Please book early in advance to avoid disappointment, as it is not always guaranteed that we will have Lifeguards available on your chosen date(s).

PLEASE NOTE: End of Year function/event should be requested as soon as possible once dates are known.
