Develop your skills

Surf Life Saving Tasmania provides opportunities for members to develop as athletes — from local participation through to state and national representation.

Athlete development pathways support members to:

  • Build skills across surf sports disciplines

  • Progress through competition levels

  • Represent Tasmania at national events

  • Be part of a strong and supportive team environment

Athlete pathway

There are a range of opportunities for members to grow and progress in surf sports.

Members may move through:

  • Club training and competition

  • Regional and state development opportunities

  • State representative teams

  • National events and competitions

There is no fixed pathway — athletes can progress based on experience, performance and commitment.
