Our vision 'Safer Tasmanian Beaches' is achieved as much through education as through surf lifesaving services.
SLST offers a wide range of education and training, from first aid to basic surf rescue and workplace training and assessment. SLST provides nationally recognised training to its members, industry and the general public, and licensed to deliver vocational education and training (VET) services throughout Tasmania.
Surf Life Saving Tasmania delivers training and assessment under a third-party agreement with Surf Life Saving South Australia Inc (RTO Code: 40110) and Professional and Technical Training Australia (RTO Code: 30270).
