Community Programs Instructors (Casual)

SLST is seeking enthusiastic individuals to help keep Tasmanian's of all ages safe.
Surf Life Saving Tasmania (SLST) delivers Community Programs to schools and community groups in Tasmania. 

  • Water safety programs involve teaching aquatic skills, catching waves and practicing rescues.
  • Beach safety sessions on-land and in classrooms.

Community Programs Instructor Position Description


Lifeguards (Casual)

SLST delivers Lifeguard Services to schools, sporting groups and community organisations to provide aquatic safety while under going beach activities.
In addition, Surf Life Saving Tasmania provides a daily Lifeguard Service at Clifton Beach on weekdays throughout the Tasmanian summer school holidays.

Lifeguard Position Description 

 

Casual Trainers

SLST is looking for experienced Casual Trainers to deliver  training courses to a wide range of client groups across Tasmania.
SLST delivers a selection of short courses focusing predominantly on first aid, emergency response and water safety, these include:

  • Provide First Aid / Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Community Surf Life Saving Certificate
  • Tasmanian Recreational Motor Boat and PWC Licence

The role is responsible for the delivery of accredited and non-accredited training with professionalism, ensuring that the delivery of the training reflects dedication to SLST’s brand, core values and mission.
