"gone AWOL" coffee house / café, is the creation of Kirsten & Phil Mustoe and with the help of their fabulous staff, preparations are well underway for their second Birthday. Tucked to one side at the Davey end of  Barrack St, it is well known for its consistent, great tasting "hot" coffee, freshly made "take out or tuck in" alternate style menu, live local music on Fridays and the daily weather report on the front window!       

From its onset Kirsten & Phil have always recycled waste generated by the business.  They have built a large hot house on their Geeveston property that contributes to a large part of their fresh herbs & vegetables.  All of the food waste and coffee grinds are turned into compost to complete the cycle. 

To help reduce rubbish in this coffee cultured city, gone AWOL is the first business to help Surf Life Saving Tasmania
