Surf Life Saving Tasmania - saving lives in the water through proactive education, risk management, prevention and rescue services

Our mission is to 'Save Lives in the Water'. We do this by:

• Minimising risk around Tasmania's coastline by co-ordinating the efficient operation of proactive beach patrol services, and rescue services
• Facilitating and encouraging youth development, education, training, health and safety of surf lifesavers and the community.
• Providing a range of services and events to engage broader member and community involvement in surf lifesaving and the beach.
• Working with all levels of government and industry partners to facilitate safer and healthier communities
• Promoting best practice in coastal risk management through working with government and industry

Today, Surf Life Saving Tasmania has over 3500 members providing lifesaving services for the community, working with youth to develop the leaders of tomorrow, and engaging in healthy lifestyles and surf sports competition.
